Everything is a Business. Those Who Understand It Win. Those Who Don’t Lose.

You’ve heard it before, but let me break it down in a way that makes it stick. Everything is a business.

And no, I’m not just talking about the local coffee shop down the street or your gym membership. I mean everything. Your career. Your education. The way you spend your time. It's all a business.

I remember the first time I realized this. My dad told me, "Greg, those who understand compound interest earn it. Those who don’t, pay it." That simple concept shifted my entire perspective. It clicked. And then I realized—everything around me is a business. If you understand how to operate it, you can profit. If not, you’ll get lost in the chaos.

So let me break it down for you. The world of business isn’t just for people in suits sitting in boardrooms. It’s for you—the healthcare professional, the therapist, the coach—anyone looking to make an impact without losing their sanity in the process.

There are four key players in any business:

  1. The Investor: The one who funds the operation. They’re the person or entity with the money to make things run.

  2. The Manager: The one who oversees the operations. They ensure that everything is running smoothly, delegating tasks and keeping things on track.

  3. The Operator: The worker bee. These are the people who are hands-on, doing the actual work to keep the business functioning.

  4. The Customer: Without the customer, there’s no business. The customer pays for the products or services that allow the business to thrive.

Think about it: when I buy a book, I’m part of the business ecosystem. There was someone who funded the publication of the book. Then, there’s someone who managed its production and marketing. People—like the author, the editor, and the designers—worked on the operational side. And finally, me—the customer—purchased it. That’s how a business works!

Even Facebook is a business. Mark Zuckerberg invested in it. There are thousands of managers overseeing the different aspects of the platform. Countless operators are working behind the scenes, from customer support to content moderation. And we, the users, are the customers. We’re the ones who make Facebook thrive because we keep using it. Simple, right?

Now, let’s look at something more relatable. Take your career as a healthcare professional. If you’re billing $105,000 a year and only getting a 0.5% increase, you might be frustrated. But here’s the kicker: you’re only part of the business. You’re probably generating way more than that. And if you understood business better, you’d realize that you’re probably underpaid for the value you bring to the table.

But here’s the thing—you’ve gone through school, which is a business in itself. Schools want you to believe that your degree is all you need. But here’s the truth: You’re going to earn a fraction of what you paid for that degree if you don’t learn how to operate your career like a business.

The good news? You can change that. You can shift your mindset.

In today’s world, you have the opportunity to build an online business. A business that works for you 24/7, even when you're not working directly with patients. Whether it’s offering digital consultations, creating online courses, or building a personal brand, you can build something that generates passive income.

Imagine: your career no longer relies on seeing patients for hours a day. You’re not stuck in the grind. You have a business that scales and gives you time for yourself and your family. That’s what understanding business does for you.

You just need to take the first step, understand these four components, and then start building a business that works for YOU.

So here’s my question: Will you keep trading time for money, or are you ready to start building a business that gives you financial freedom?

I’m here to help you figure that out. But the first step is understanding that everything is a business. And if you understand it, you will win.
