Happy Labor Day, y’all.
Today I’ve got something real I wanna drop on you… especially if you’re a healthcare pro trying to get a business off the ground (or scale the one you’ve already started).
Here’s the truth:
You don’t have a million-dollar marketing budget.
You don’t have a team of investors.
You don’t have a board of directors backing you.
You probably don’t even have the time to sit down and write a blog like this because your schedule is nuts.
And yet… you still have a shot.
Wanna know why?
Because as a small business owner, you’ve got two superpowers that can take you further than 95% of people.
✅ Speed
✅ Creativity
That’s it.
That’s all you’ve got — and it’s all you need.
Let me give you a quick story to paint this picture.
Back in 2022, I took about 30 of my high-level clients out on a Starlight Cruise around Clearwater. It was three stories tall, beautiful views, great food, great people. While we were cruising, I went to the top deck and waved at a couple of dudes on jet skis riding nearby.
They waved back.
Thirty seconds later, our big ol’ boat starts to turn. You know… slow, deliberate, massive pivot.
Meanwhile, those jet skis?
Gone.
They were already under the Clearwater bridge, far ahead of us.
You know why?
Because they're small.
They can move fast.
They can pivot in an instant.
Just like YOU can.
You're not some cruise ship. You're a jet ski.
But here's the thing: if you're overthinking, you're not moving fast.
And that means you're wasting your only advantage.
This past weekend I traveled from Orlando to Clearwater. I've got a lot going on—personally, professionally, spiritually—you name it.
But even in the middle of all that, I started writing a book.
Saturday morning.
Finished five chapters in two days.
Created the outline, drafted titles, chose the cover design, and told my team: “We’re publishing this by the 20th.”
Two days.
That would’ve taken me six to nine months a few years ago.
Now? Four and a half hours of focused work and a clear intention to move FAST.
That’s your advantage as a small business owner. Speed. Execution. Urgency.
Look… You can sit around worrying that you’re not a tech person. Or you can embrace tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc., to help you brainstorm, create content, even build entire offers.
That’s not cheating.
That’s just leveraging the resource that gives small players a shot to move fast.
If you’re not moving fast, it’s not because you’re underqualified — it’s because you’re overthinking.
Let me tell you about someone in our Platinum Mastermind: Katrina Banks.
She’s a neurotherapist. Before she got into my world, she was trading her time for money and burning out.
Now?
She’s building offers that pay her when she’s not even in the room.
We didn’t give her more degrees.
We didn’t change her expertise.
All we did was help her create.
We took what she already knew, and turned it into a new offer.
Creativity.
That’s it.
Creativity is just your brain saying, “What if I did this differently?”
You don’t need to “learn business.” You need to learn how to think like a creator.
Because once you get the creativity flowing — AI can help you build it.
Speed can help you launch it.
If you’re trying to compete with big brands, deep pockets, and industry giants…
...you’ve already lost.
That’s not your game.
Your game is this:
Get to the market first.
Pivot when others are still planning.
Think differently.
Move quickly.
If you’re sitting on an idea, a gift, or a business that hasn’t launched yet — you don’t need to wait for a perfect website, perfect funnel, perfect team.
You just need to decide:
Will I use the two things I’ve got going for me — or waste them while waiting for something I’ll never have?
Speed.
Creativity.
That’s your jet fuel.
Go build.
